GINUARY BONUS TIP: A Simple Simple Syrup Recipe

In the Gin & Ginger recipe below, a ginger syrup is one of the ingredients. It may seem super fancy to be making your own syrups, but it’s not really all that hard. And it’s a lot less expensive than buying the fancy pre-made ones. Start with the Wendy’s Simple Simple Syrup recipe below – all you need is sugar, water, a pan for simmering, and a glass jar (or bowl) to keep the finished syrup in. Once you get the hang of it, you can add all sorts of ingredients to make your own seemingly fancy (but deceptively easy) syrups. Just add a strainer to your tool list – and a few more glass jars for your finished treats. Once you get started, you’ll find it hard to stop!

I thought it was unhealthy to drink distilled water. No?
