Ginuary 1st: Sloe Gin Fizz

This drink does not involve the sloe gin of your misspent youth. It has nothing in common with whatever that stuff was you were drinking at your college dive bar. (What was that stuff, anyway??)

This one involves a real sloe gin made with actual sloe berries – they may look like blueberries, but they’re actually a type of plum, handpicked from the Blackthorn Tree.

So don’t be scared – this is good stuff. Think of it as your misspent youth… just all grown up.

2 oz Hayman’s Sloe Gin; 1 oz fresh lemon; 1 oz simple syrup

How to:
Build over ice in shaker. Strain into tall cocktail glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with cherry.
